Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Plutoo Maintenance platform (“Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Platform.

Plutoo Maintenance is a standalone maintenance management platform designed to connect property managers with contractors for property maintenance services. These Terms apply to all users, including property managers, contractors, and any other users of the Platform.

Trademarks

Plutoo LTD, a subsidiary of DINOCO LONDON LTD (Company Number: 15979777), claims rights in certain trademarks and service marks contained in this Platform. “Plutoo Maintenance,” “Plutoo,” “Pluto,” and related marks are trademarks of Plutoo LTD. Unauthorized use of Plutoo’s trademarks is strictly prohibited.

Use of Platform and Materials

The information, software, and materials contained in this Platform, and the terms, conditions, and descriptions that appear, are subject to change. Unauthorized use of Plutoo Maintenance’s Platform and systems including but not limited to unauthorized entry into Plutoo’s systems, misuse of passwords, or misuse of any information posted on the Platform is strictly prohibited.

You may use the Platform only for legitimate maintenance management and service provision purposes in accordance with applicable laws. Not all features and services are available to all users. Your eligibility for particular features and services is subject to final determination by Plutoo LTD and may depend on your user type (contractor or property manager).

User Accounts and User Types

General Account Requirements

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and maintain the accuracy of such information throughout your use of the Platform.

User Type Classification

The Platform serves two primary user types:

  1. Property Managers: Users who post maintenance jobs, manage properties, and hire contractors
  2. Contractors: Users who provide maintenance services, respond to job postings, and complete maintenance work

You agree to register under the appropriate user type and not to misrepresent your role or qualifications.

Subscription and Payment

Platform access requires a paid subscription. Subscription plans and pricing differ based on user type (contractor or property manager).

All fees are as specified in your chosen subscription plan and are non-refundable unless otherwise required by law. We reserve the right to modify fees with 30 days’ advance notice to active subscribers.

Payment for subscriptions must be made through approved payment methods. You authorize us to charge your designated payment method on a recurring basis according to your subscription plan.

Free trial periods, if offered, are subject to specific terms which will be communicated at the time of sign-up. We reserve the right to terminate free trials at any time.

Contractor Terms

Contractor Obligations

If you register as a contractor, you represent and warrant that:

  1. You possess all necessary licenses, qualifications, certifications, and insurance required to perform maintenance services in your jurisdiction
  2. You will provide accurate information about your skills, experience, and availability
  3. You will respond to job inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  4. You will complete accepted jobs according to agreed specifications, timelines, and industry standards
  5. You will maintain appropriate insurance coverage including public liability insurance
  6. You comply with all applicable health and safety regulations

Contractor Profile

Contractors are responsible for maintaining accurate profile information, including but not limited to trade specialties, service areas, certifications, insurance details, and pricing information.

Plutoo LTD reserves the right to verify contractor credentials and may request documentation of licenses, insurance, or qualifications at any time.

Job Acceptance and Completion

Contractors who accept jobs through the Platform enter into a direct service agreement with the property manager. Plutoo LTD acts as a facilitator and is not a party to this service agreement.

Contractors must complete accepted jobs or provide reasonable notice if unable to fulfill commitments. Repeated failures to complete jobs may result in account suspension or termination.

Property Manager Terms

If you register as a property manager, you agree to:

  1. Post accurate and complete job descriptions
  2. Provide contractors with necessary access and information to complete jobs
  3. Process payments for completed work in accordance with agreed terms
  4. Communicate professionally and promptly with contractors
  5. Review and rate completed work fairly and accurately

Job Postings

Property managers are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of all job postings. Job postings must include sufficient detail for contractors to provide accurate quotes and must not contain discriminatory requirements or illegal requests.

Links to Third-Party Sites

This Platform may contain links to websites controlled by third parties. Plutoo LTD hereby disclaims liability for any information, materials, products or services posted or offered at any third-party sites linked to this Platform. By creating a link to a third-party website, Plutoo LTD does not endorse or recommend any products or services offered or information contained at that website.

Privacy

Your use of the Platform is subject to our Privacy Policy, available at https://maintenance.plutoo.co.uk/privacypolicy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

No Warranty

The Platform and all information and materials contained therein, including software, text, graphics, and other items are provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE”. Plutoo LTD does not warrant the accuracy, adequacy or completeness of the Platform and expressly disclaims liability for errors or omissions. No warranty of any kind, implied, expressed or statutory including but not limited to the warranties of non-infringement of third party rights, title, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and freedom from computer virus, is given in conjunction with the Platform.

Plutoo LTD does not guarantee the quality of work performed by contractors, the reliability of property managers, or the successful completion of any maintenance jobs arranged through the Platform. Users engage with other users at their own risk.

Limitation of Liability

In no event will Plutoo LTD or its parent company DINOCO LONDON LTD be liable for any damages, including without limitation direct or indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages, losses or expenses arising in connection with this Platform or use thereof or inability to use by any party, or in connection with any failure of performance, error, omission, interruption, defect, delay in operation or transmission, computer virus or system failure, even if Plutoo LTD or representatives thereof are advised of the possibility of such damages, losses or expenses.

Plutoo LTD is not liable for:

  • The quality, safety, legality, or any other aspect of services provided by contractors
  • Disputes between property managers and contractors
  • Payment disputes between users
  • Property damage, personal injury, or any other harm arising from maintenance work
  • Loss of business, revenue, or data
  • Any actions or omissions of Platform users

User Content and Submissions

All information submitted to Plutoo LTD via this Platform shall be deemed and remain the property of the submitting user. However, you grant Plutoo LTD a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute such information as necessary to provide the Platform services, including displaying job postings, contractor profiles, reviews, and ratings.

You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights to submit content to the Platform and that your content does not violate any third-party rights or applicable laws.

Plutoo LTD reserves the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or is otherwise objectionable, in our sole discretion.

Service Availability

This Platform is intended for use by individuals and businesses located in the United Kingdom only. Use of this Platform is not intended for distribution to, or use by, any person or entity in any jurisdiction where such use would be contrary to local law or regulation.

We strive to maintain continuous Platform availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Platform may be unavailable during maintenance, upgrades, or due to circumstances beyond our control.

Data Processing

Your data is processed on servers located in the United Kingdom and may be stored on servers in the United Kingdom and United States (via Google Firebase services). By using the Platform, you consent to this data processing arrangement.

We collect and process data necessary to facilitate the maintenance management services, including job details, communications between users, payment information, and performance ratings.

Job Transactions and Disputes

Direct Agreements

All service agreements for maintenance work are directly between property managers and contractors. Plutoo LTD is not a party to these agreements and has no obligation to enforce them.

Dispute Resolution

In the event of disputes between property managers and contractors, users are encouraged to resolve issues directly. Plutoo LTD may provide mediation support at its discretion but is under no obligation to do so.

Users may report violations of these Terms or inappropriate behavior through the Platform’s reporting features. Plutoo LTD will investigate reports and may take action including warnings, suspension, or account termination.

Reviews and Ratings

Users may leave reviews and ratings for completed jobs. Reviews must be honest, accurate, and based on actual experiences. Users may not:

  • Leave false or misleading reviews
  • Leave reviews in exchange for payment or other compensation
  • Use reviews to harass or defame other users
  • Review their own work or have others review on their behalf

Plutoo LTD reserves the right to remove reviews that violate these guidelines.

Payment Processing

Payment for maintenance jobs may be facilitated through the Platform or arranged directly between users, depending on the features used and subscription plan.

When payments are processed through the Platform:

  • Property managers authorize charges for accepted quotes and completed work
  • Contractors receive payment after work completion and approval
  • Plutoo LTD may hold funds in escrow until work is verified
  • Processing fees may apply as specified in subscription terms
  • Disputed payments may be held pending resolution

Users are responsible for all applicable taxes on their transactions.

Termination

Termination by User

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting support. Subscription fees already paid are non-refundable except as required by law.

Termination by Plutoo

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Platform at any time for any reason, including but not limited to:

  • Violation of these Terms
  • Fraudulent activity
  • Misrepresentation of credentials or qualifications
  • Repeated complaints or negative ratings
  • Non-payment of subscription fees
  • Illegal activity

Upon termination, you may request your data within 90 days, after which it may be deleted. Outstanding obligations, including payment for completed work, survive termination.

Additional Terms

Certain sections of the Platform may contain separate terms and conditions, which are in addition to these Terms of Use. In the event of a conflict, the additional terms will govern for those specific sections.

Users must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to building codes, health and safety requirements, licensing requirements, and consumer protection laws.

Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify active users of material changes by email or through Platform notifications. Continued use of the Platform after modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Users who do not agree to modified Terms must discontinue use of the Platform and may terminate their accounts.

Governing Law

Use of this Platform shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through court proceedings in England and Wales.

By using the Platform, you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales for any disputes.
